We heard the reason he was doing this was as a protest about global warming because the North Shore Mountains have no snow – but cannot confirm or deny that rumour.

Anyways, we’ll just go with him being a super street entertainer who wasn’t protesting anything but just having some fun. The Games certainly have brought some awesome and creative street entertainers to our city, and they’re talents and enthusiasm will surely be missed once the Olympics are over!

Well, the guy on the right is the King of Sweden’s son a TV reporter for SVT. SVT is more or less the CBC of Sweden!

These Swedes were chilling out in Horseshoe Bay taking in the rays. Like most other people right now, they are shocked at how warm it is in a city that is hosting the Winter Olympics. But, again like everyone else, they’re loving it!

This picture was taken at Ambleside in West Vancouver on a very balmy +15 afternoon. This weather is ridiculous eh? All Winter Olympics should be held in countries where you can swim in the ocean and have beers on patios (in t-shirts!).

It’s still a face, it’s still sort of tied to the Olympics but overall we just think it’s damn cool.

This man was doing what could amount to ‘alternative busking’ or something. Basically, thousands of people were heading down Robson Street towards the opening ceremonies. This guy wanted to get some attention for an event he was hosting (a play?) so was handing out tickets. But, he wasn’t just handing out tickets, he was doing what you see below first. Pretty cool!

This man seemed super spiritual to us for some reason.

We say that because behind him you can see the red tents and those tents were the symbol that a lot of the protesters were using to voice their argument. While they were doing their chants, waving their signs and hoisting this red tent, this man was more or less meandering in front of them and doing some singing of his own. The singing sounded very traditional for the aboroginal people of the West Coast, and it was really neat to listen to him do this while the sounds of the protesters were in the background.

He was a very kind man though, very friendly and we appreciate him letting us take his picture!

While some people at the event had a lot of (negative) things to say in that area, this man was pretty darn jovial about the whole thing.

He is a painter and told us that recently, a short documentary styled movie had been made about his paintings by a company in Toronto! We asked him to pop his paint brush in his mouth for a picture, and boom he did it! Pretty cool stuff!

If it happens, it happens as was the case today.

So, this is Daryn Jones and he is one funny dude. If you’re uncertain who he is, he’s an MTV Canada host, he’s on the Rick Mercer Report every now and again, and basically he’s one of Canada’s best young TV personalities.

We were walking on Robson Street when we saw him setting up with his TV crew.

We asked if we could take his picture, he agreed, and we more or less said ‘Hey man thanks! We totally recognized you!’.

His reply was more or less ‘Well, yeah I figured. It’d be weird if you were taking pictures of strangers, wouldn’t it?”.

Guess he hasn’t see the Faces of The Games project!

When we asked her to be a part of this project, she was all-in and had a hilarious reason for agreeing. Basically, she wanted proof for someone (can’t remember if it was her husband or friend) that she was actually out walking the dog in the rain. So, we’re glad we could help her out!

This theme again was about dogs in West Vancouver and where we took this picture was along Ambleside Pier. If you haven’t been to this pier before, get on your horse and ride on down there. It’s stunning. You can fish off the pier, you can crab off them, catch some rays along the sandy beaches next to it, just about everything! And now you can even catch a small ferry across the water to Coal Harbour! It’s great!

Pretty stylish! That sort of style-awareness with the poochies in West Vancouver is more or less par for the course. This picture was taken along the shiny new West Vancouver Sea Wall, but all you would need to do is cruise to the Village in West Vancouver if you wanted to see some more stylin’ pups.

These two were a wee bit trepidatious about this whole Faces thing, but agreed in the end. We’re glad actually because the vibe that we’re getting when we do pictures of friends like this is that they really appreciate it in the end. How often do you get a nice picture of you and your friend doing what you commonly do with one another? Probably not often. So, we’re glad these ladies agree and hopefully they contact us to receive their picture!
