We didn’t (even come close) to our stated goal of 2010 faces, but c’est la vie, that’s life.

But, we met a hell of a lot of people, our people skills probably improved (asking strangers to take their picture will do that!) and hopefully the people who viewed this for the last 6 or 7 weeks enjoyed it.

The Inukshuk has become the symbol of these games, and what a rad way to brand these Olympics. If you look at London 2012’s logo, on the other hand, my God. We’re pretty lucky here in Canada!

But what’s cool about this one is it is one of dozens and dozens that have been built along the Seawall right now. More or less beside GM Place is where you’ll find them and it’s a sight to be seen!

So, this little fella’ is our face for today!

It’s a protester who is totally prepared for whatever may come her way by wearing a helmet. Mad respect for her passion for protesting!

Speaking of epic, how about this Faces of the Games project? Not trying to toot our own horn, but we’ve actually been able to get peoples’ kick ass head shots everyday for well over month! We’re not going to win any awards for this little feat, but it’s definitely improved our personal skills!

We heard the reason he was doing this was as a protest about global warming because the North Shore Mountains have no snow – but cannot confirm or deny that rumour.

Anyways, we’ll just go with him being a super street entertainer who wasn’t protesting anything but just having some fun. The Games certainly have brought some awesome and creative street entertainers to our city, and they’re talents and enthusiasm will surely be missed once the Olympics are over!

Simple eh?

Vancouver is buzzing right now with all sorts of wicked and ridiculously talented street folks, and they sure as heck weren’t here before the Games strolled into town. Of course we (as in Vancouver) had a wide array of street artists pre-Games, but the people working the streets right now certainly have upped the ante.

Alas, here are a few of our favourites. And for the love of Peter, Paul and Mary: Stick around after the Games buskers and entertainers! You add a great lifeline of excitement to the city!

There are endless free / not-free activities for families to embark on, and it’s probably mind-boggling awesome for kids. High-five to all the organizers for the wicked balance between party-venues and family-venues!

This lovely young family were cruising around Yaletown on a ridiculously sunny day. Pretty good looking family eh!
