Earlier this year, I shot a wedding at Castello di Vincigliata with our good friend and extremely talented London wedding photographer Ed Peers.
.
Visiting Florence for the first time, my expectations were set high. But even after all the good things I’d heard about the city, the experience exceeded everything I’d built it up to be.
This magical pot of culture, history, passion and beauty is incredible in every way possible. If you’ve been, you know.
And the Italians, always inviting, smiling and passionate, borderline insane.
After Jenny and Andy’s wedding, I grabbed a cab back to my hotel. The entire ride – 45 minutes to be precise – the driver spoke on the phone, louder and more intense than I’d ever heard anyone speak before, while at the same time cruising the extremely narrow streets of Florence with a speed more suited for a six lane highway.
Completely insane, yet so very charming. I tipped him generously for the experience, and for getting me to my hotel way faster than expected.
Here are some of my shots from Jen and Andy’s day. Thanks, Ed, for having me along.
