Vancouver wedding photography season is getting into full swing, and we’ve been doing a lot of shoots lately with couples. As was the case this weekend in Stanley Park.

Stanley Park and engagement photos go together better then – well – two things that go really well together. That’s where we took Brittani and Darren for their engagement shoot on the weekend.

Let’s just say that we’re excited about the results and leave the conversation at that. Here’s a teaser.

Janet and Eddyâ€™s story is they met while studying at UBC and never really looked back. Eddy was studying computer science while Janet studied psychology. Basically, theyâ€™re both smart as a whip and you keep feel the intelligence oozing off of them when you meet the two (in a good way!).

They came in contact with us through our good olâ€™friend Google. They were Googling around for Vancouver wedding photographers for their October wedding that will be at Shaughnessy Golf Club. Fancy stuff! Anyways, we decided to sit down for a coffee, meet with one another and see if we were a good fit to be their wedding photographers.

Turns out we were! So onto the engagement photos we went! Literally the next day! Janet and Eddy apparently are quick (and great!) decision makers and selected us to be their wedding photographers.

The engagement shoot was pretty neat for symbolic reasons. Without getting into the personnel details, we basically picked a route along False Creek towards Kitsilano with the final location being where it all began for the two, at UBC.

The weather was mint – absolutely beauty. Not because it was a blazing beach day, mind you. It was mint because of the epic skies that we had to work with that day. From a photography point of view, this day was bloody perfect and the pictures really benefitted from the great murky clouds.

So, weâ€™re absolutely pumped to do Janet and Eddyâ€™s wedding in a few months, and based on how much fun we had doing their engagement shoot, weâ€™re sure the wedding will be great!

For Nordica’s two-man wolfpack, it’s always cool when people contact us out of the blue after they find our work on their own by searching the Internet. This was the case with Janet and Eddy.

We recently did their engagement shoot and it took us everywhere from False Creek to Kits to UBC. It was an awesome day and the pictures are cool as hell.

We’ll be doing their wedding in October, and couldn’t have been happier to meet these two awesome folks!

So, for now, here’s one image. We’ll post the rest later eh.
