The Basics

The workshop will be in Queenstown on February 18-19, 2014. The two days will be full-on (as in 8 hour days) with some evening outings in the mix. We’ll hang out as much as we will share everything we do.

A seat for the workshop is $1,500 (NZD), and can be purchased via the PayPal link below. Lunch, snacks and coffee will be served both days.

The Details

This is what we’ll cover:

Our story. We’ve come a long way since we first started with two cameras and an idea, back in 2009. We’ll talk about our process since then; what’s worked for us and what hasn’t.

Photography. A photo session with a real couple. We’ll show you how we do a portrait shoot and you’re welcome to shoot as much as you want.

Workflow. What happens after the photos are taken? We’ll share our entire workflow, from editing and storytelling to marketing and the administrative side of things.

Marketing. We spent five jovial years obtaining masters degrees in marketing and we now apply that to Nordica. We’ll try and squeeze those five years into two days.

Branding. Is this different than marketing? Yes, it is. “Win without pitching” is how we’ve built our business, and we’ll show you what works for us (as well as the not-so-awesome lessons we’ve learned along the way).

Everything else. We’ll go over our wedding philosophy, what gear we have in our bags, what software we use and much more. There will be plenty of time to discuss any subject you’re interested in.

Those are the essentials and we guarantee your brains will be full when we’re done. We’ll also drink a lot of coffee and beers, and just hang out.

Guest Speaker

Joining us at the workshop is Kate Holland from Magnolia Rouge Magazine. On day two of the workshop, Kate will be sharing a presentation on the ways of the Magnolia world.
