Booking weddings with couples who Google you from a faraway land seems to entail a leap of faith. Concluding that the photographers aren’t crazy, and shoring up that they’re actually the people they portray on the blog is the order of the day.

We really liked Ryan’s approach to confirming we weren’t crazies when he rang us up from Toronto.

It felt like we were being grilled over a speakerphone by Michael Douglas in Wall Street (the 1987 version, not the shitty sequel). A couple of months later we met Ryan for the first time and wouldn’t you know it, he had the same vibe going on as Mr. Douglas in person as well. An admirable confidence, we’ll call it, and a mean head of hair.

Anyways, the point is that we admire couples who book us without a meeting in person. The trust factor is huge, and it’s awesome when couples have the confidence in us to do this.
