Kim Dudra | Headshots | Vancouver Portrait Photographer

January 22, 2010

This is Kim Dudra. She contacted us through our beloved Twitter after we made a small comment on the cool background image she was using in her profile. It was of an awesome graffiti wall in the downtown area that was unfortunately painted over with a gross wall of blue paint. Unfortunate, but let’s not get sidetracked here eh.

So through that little exchange, we agreed to do a photo shoot with her with the goal being to produce some pictures she could use for headshots and – of more relevance – for her social media presence. Great! We’re all over it!

So the look we agreed upon was sort of gritty, sort of tough, sort of edgy, but a lot of professionalism in the photos. Quite a few things to squeeze in eh! But, we loved the challenge and were thrilled to have had the opportunity to work with such a lovely lady. It was a smooth shoot – aside from some ‘interesting’ folks who (aggressively) wanted to be a part of the shoot as well. I guess that’s what you get when you hang out in alley’s eh!

Anyways, enough babbling, here you go. The portrait shoot with Kim.

Is she used to modeling? The relaxed shots are great. But there's a few photos where she looks a little stiff and uncomfortable. Ex.. 1 & 2 she's relaxed, 3,4,5 she looks a little too stiff. But overall not bad.

@photodreamz - No idea if she's used to modeling :) We think she did a great job though! Thanks a lot for the feedback eh!

I really like the processing on these images. It's especially great how you make her blue eyes stand out. Nice work.

These shots are awesome. I love the textures of the backgrounds and know Kim. Almost pulls off the looking "tough" pics ;) Were these taken recently? The light seems brighter than I remember.
