Puglia Wedding Photographer
Faye and Laurie had no shortage of options when searching for a Puglia wedding photographer. So how this all came together is a bit fun, albeit not at the time.
We first came across these two legends at Roadie Workshop in Iceland where they joined as one of the couples we photographed. It was the second day of the workshop, and when we stepped out of the car to start taking photos at the first spot, the weather was absolutely insane (in a bad way). We’ll skip the details, but just say it was punishing and it didn’t stop the entire day. They got the worst Iceland had to offer.
We thought maybe they’d be furious because honestly, it was bad. But, it worked out in the end and we were lucky enough to be there for this slice of magic in Puglia.
Tenuta Tresca Wedding
Faye is a talented wedding photographer based out of England, so when it came to scouting venues, she chose an absolute stunner. No surprise, given her eye for the right backdrop.
Tenuta Tresca is one of the best Puglia wedding venues there is, and it didn’t disappoint at all on Faye and Laurie’s day. The setting for the ceremony was like a woodland fairytale, and the reception under the stars was absolutely memorable. Everything about Tenuta Tresca was, and is, perfect.
Perfect Wedding in Italy
We’ve had fortune on our side with weddings in Italy, which all started with Frida and Alex’s wedding on Lipari. The common thread binding all these experiences in Italy is absolutely perfect hospitality with perfect backdrops.
Tenuta Tresca was definitely meeting the bill with that, but it was a simple stroll through Otranto that will remain a memorable part of this story.
Faye wanted to have a seaside beverage prior to the ceremony, so we walked our way through the streets of Otranto en route to the beach. The sea was almost a fluorescent blue it was so bright, so to chill in the shade and have a beer with that setting stands out as a perfect part of the day. Another simple, yet perfect, Italian backdrop.
Joyful, Magical, Togetherness
We’re always curious about how couples describe their weddings in three words. That’s a challenging request, because with such an important day at hand, there’s so much you could (and want) to say.
Faye and Laurie summed their day up in three words: joyful, magical, togetherness. Hard to argue with that.
Here is their story from Tenuta Tresca in Puglia.
Why Puglia for a Destination Wedding
Puglia has become one of the most popular wedding destinations in Italy, and the reasons are clear once you spend time there. The region occupies the heel of the Italian boot, with coastline on both the Adriatic and Ionian seas. The landscape is defined by olive groves, whitewashed towns, and a quality of light that stays warm and golden for hours in the evening. Unlike Tuscany or the Amalfi Coast, Puglia has managed to retain a slower pace and a more authentic Italian feel, which is exactly what draws couples who want their wedding to feel like a genuine cultural experience rather than a tourist event.
The food in Puglia is exceptional. Faye and Laurie’s wedding dinner at Tenuta Tresca was a testament to that, with local produce, homemade pasta, and wines from the surrounding vineyards. For couples who care about the experience their guests have, Puglia delivers in a way that few other destinations can match. As a Puglia wedding photographer, we find that the combination of the landscape, the food, and the warmth of the people consistently creates weddings that feel full and joyful.
