When Vlada emailed us months before the wedding, asking if we were interested in documenting his and Jelena’s wedding in Belgrade, we said “absolutely, let’s do it!” while both actually thinking “suuuure, like that’ll happen”. Neither of us had been to Serbia and while we were intrigued by the thought of it, we had a hard time seeing how it could work out in the end. The stars aligned though, and we were able to add yet another fascinating country to the map, and continue our mission of telling people’s stories from around the world.
