When I started out, it was a partnership. We needed a name, and I wanted one that had nothing to do with weddings. Nordica came from our connection to Sweden. We both studied at university in Umeå, way up in the north. That is also where I met my wife. So the name stuck. The partnership eventually ran its course, but the name still felt like mine. It still does.
Gävle, Sweden. About two hours north of Stockholm, right on the coast. But most of my work takes me elsewhere. I have been photographing couples across Europe for over fifteen years and travel is part of how I work.
Calm, real, and low on direction. I photograph what happens. I pay attention to light, to moments between moments, to the things you will forget happened. You will not be posed into things that feel unnatural. If you want someone who disappears into the day and comes back with something honest, we will get along.
Yes, almost always. The majority of my work is international. If your plans take us somewhere I have not been before, even better.
It depends on the time of year. Summer dates tend to go first. If you have a date in mind, reach out early. If your plans are still taking shape, that is fine too. I am happy to talk before anything is set in stone.
Every couple is different, so I put together pricing based on what you actually need. Get in touch and I will send you the details.
Yes. Elopements are a big part of what I do. Two people, a place you have chosen together, no guest list. Some of my favourite work has come from elopements. I also photograph couples outside of weddings entirely. If you want portraits, an anniversary, or something with no label at all, I am up for it.
For a full wedding day, typically between 600 and 800 images in a mix of colour and black and white, delivered digitally. For shorter sessions or elopements, fewer but no less considered.
Send me a message below. Tell me a bit about yourselves and what you are thinking. No need to have every detail figured out. I will get back to you and we go from there.
