Welcome to Nordica!

What to say in our first blog post? Well, perhaps a brief introduction is appropriate as we are two people acting under the umbrella of Nordica.

Jakob Granqvist is our “Nordic” representative in this partnership. He comes from Finland and has spent most of the last decade studying and working in Sweden. He’s a heck of a soccer player, and the poor guy looks like Brad Pitt. We’re actually curious if anyone will notice at this weeks Whistler Film Festival that Nordica will be participating at.

Cole Roberts is the Canadian part of the equation, as he comes from 100 Mile House, BC. He’s been living in Sweden off and on the last few years due to his studying in Umeå, Sweden and the fact that his girlfriend comes from Sweden. He’s also lived in Helsinki, Finland, so the Nordic influence is definitely prevalent.

What can you expect from this blog? Well, it will be used as a bit of a news source for Nordica happenings, and we’ll put things up as deemed important. This Friday, for example, we will be doing live blogging from the Whistler Film Festival. If you want to see live shots, and perhaps a bit of commentary as it happens, then keep an eye on the blog throughout the day!
