PICK OF THE WEEKEight

Whether you read photography books or take photography classes, something you’ll eventually learn are all the rules of photography. Rules about composition, about focus, about light, and all that. And that’s great, of course. It’s important to know and understand the basics rules of photography.

But it’s also fun to completely ignore them.

The above photos of Mandy from our engagement session in Chilliwack are out of focus, in mid-day sunshine (usually a big no-no) and the compositions are far from perfect.

But I still like them. Sometimes breaking those rules is more fun than doing everything right.
