The majority of weddings we photograph in Iceland are with couples flying in from around the world seeking adventure.

Hrefna and Björn’s celebration was quite different. They’re both locals and had what can only be described as a 100% Icelandic wedding. A priest drinking beer from a horn during an Ásatrú ceremony, a famous Icelandic band performing and the mesmerizing Icelandic environment. Witnessing how the locals celebrate was a great experience.
