ITALY WEDDINGFrida & Alex
[one_half]
When I first started shooting weddings, back in Sweden pre-Nordica, my experience with wedding photography was very limited.

I barely knew of any other wedding photographers. What I’d seen was basically the heart-shaped hands, the bend-the-bride-backwards-so-far-that-she-almost-breaks-her-back-while-kissing shot, and the other cliché wedding photos.
I tried to stay (far) away from those, but it wasn’t until I stumbled upon Jonas Peterson’s website that I realized what wedding photography could be.

Jonas was fairly new to the industry as well at that time, and his work was different. Different as in that it took me places and told stories in a way far superior to anything I’d seen in the genre before. It challenged what people thought wedding photography was supposed to be.
I was immediately drawn to his style of storytelling, and from that day, Jonas’ approach to wedding photography has been a big inspiration to both myself and to Cole.
So, to say that it was an honour to travel down to southern Italy, and the island of Lipari to shoot Frida and Alex’ wedding together with Jonas earlier this summer, is an understatement.
Thanks, Jonas and and Jacqui for having me. Thanks, Mitra and Fabio for planning an outstanding Italy wedding and sharing the weekend with us. And thanks, Frida and Alex for this amazing day.
