A little wedding.

That’s what the cards said that Sarah and Rich sent out to their family and friends the morning they left for Vancouver Island. For months, they had secretly been planning a Tofino elopement, without telling anyone. Not their closest friends, not even their parents.

They wanted a totally stress-free wedding, and didn’t care for any of the traditional stuff, so they brought their dog, Stogie, and snuck away for a short getaway to exchange rings.

The ceremony took place in the rainforest of the paradise that is Tofino, and accompanied by photographs of their close ones hanging in trees, Sarah and Rich got exactly the quiet celebration of their love that they wished for.

A huge high-five to our great friend (and ridiculously talented photographer) Nirav Patel for taking Cole’s place, as Cole and his fiancé Therese had their first-born the night after Sarah and Richard’s wedding.
