Iceland Wedding Photographer // Becky & Ymir

When we arrived at Keflavik airport in Iceland, this quickly changed, and blogs and strategies stopped mattering. As did most other things. Because from the moment we got off of the plane until we returned four days later, we were consumed but a colossal amount of energy and effort that was totally drive by Rebecca, Ymir, and their families.

Mazatlán

Therese and I were sitting in our hotel room at Riu Resort in Mazatlán, Mexico. I was having a few (dozen) Dos Equis and she had her hair in a big brown towel having just got out of the shower. The TV was on and it was not long after the sun had gone down. On the TV was a Pierce Morgan interview with Heidi Klum. Goddamn that guy can talk, and goddamn she's stunning. NSS4HKT7FZAN

Barn Wedding Vancouver // Meg & Adam

Couple's often ask us about general ideas and thoughts for their weddings. And our answer is pretty much always the same. We're definitely no experts on weddings per se, but we've been to a few by now, and there's one thing we've picked up on: The more real you keep it, the better. Don't put in a big effort just to be someone you're not for a day.

Document You // Amber & Bryan

Up until now we've been offering engagement sessions as a part of our wedding photography packages. Engagement sessions are very popular in Vancouver, as well as pretty much anywhere in North America, and the idea is to get photos done together before you're getting married. That's all fine and dandy, and we dig the idea of doing a photo shoot before the wedding. It's an awesome way for us to get to know couples and it's a great way for couples to get an additional set of photos, as well as to get comfortable with us. Win-win-win.

Sikh Wedding Vancouver // Susan & Jag

Susan and Jag didn't want the typical, traditional indian wedding photos. They wanted something else, something different, which is why they got in touch with us in the first place. We had never done a Sikh wedding before, so our fresh vision was exactly what they were looking for.

Iceland Wedding Photography // Annika & Doug

We've put brides and grooms in a lot of odd spots for portraits. Allies that smelled like they had dead bodies laying around, precarious cliffs with unsure footing, beside glaciers, the middle of deserts, fields full of animals, a pot field, and on and on. When we took Annika and Doug away for their portraits at 1AM during a rainstorm in Iceland, that situation really took the cake.

Stockholm Wedding Photography // Kajsa & Magnus

Many were the surprised tourists that suddenly saw themselves in the midst of the first wedding ceremony ever to take place at this popular tourist attraction - the Vasa museum - at Djugården in Stockholm. Kajsa and Magnus wanted a different, casual, Swedish summer kinda wedding. And between the ceremony at the Vasa museum, the horse and carriage ride along Djugården and the reception at Hasselbacken on this warm June evening, that's exactly what they got.

Bröllopsfotograf Sverige // Veronica & Martin

Compared to North Americans, Swedes are quiet, modest people. But then you put a few wobbly pops in them, the switch has been flicked and off they go to the races.
